RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Diamond Chemical Co., based here, reports it has acquired Nyco Products Co., a cleaning chemicals manufacturer headquartered in Countryside, Illinois.
Together, the businesses have more than 200 years of experience in the chemical industry, including industrial and institutional laundry solutions.
“Nyco brings deep formulation expertise, a strong brand portfolio and a Midwest manufacturing footprint that perfectly complements our coastal operations,” says Diamond Chemical CEO Wesley Alves. “Together, we can offer our customers broader product availability and stronger national service.”
Beyond the operational expansion, Diamond says the acquisition represents a “true union of two deeply aligned cultures.”
“The sale of our business preserves our history and culture while ensuring that our customers continue to receive the same high level of quality, reliability, and service,” says Bob Stahurski, Nyco’s CEO. “I am confident that our customers, partners and legacy will continue to thrive under Diamond’s leadership.”
Stahurski is retiring after 40 years with his company.

The company adds that Stahurski will remain involved as an investor and adviser, ensuring a seamless transition and continuing to lend his expertise to the combined team.
