SALT LAKE CITY — Alsco Uniforms, a provider of uniform and linen laundry services based here, is growing its presence in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey markets with the acquisition of MacIntosh Services.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“We’re excited that the employees and customers of MacIntosh Linen & Uniform are joining Alsco Uniforms,” says Bob Steiner, CEO of Alsco Uniforms. “As a 135-year-old, fifth-generation, family-owned company, we appreciate the foundational relationships MacIntosh has made in the communities they serve.
“We plan to build on their successes and continue creating the best possible experience for both MacIntosh employees and their customers. Together, we’ll both maintain and enhance the high standards and exceptional service they’re used to.”
This strategic move includes the purchase of MacIntosh’s Bethlehem location, which along with the fleet will be rebranded as Alsco Uniforms in the coming months. Through this acquisition, the company says it will showcase its high-quality products and laundry services to the industrial, healthcare and hospitality industries in a new market.
James Rodgers Jr., president at MacIntosh Services, says, “Myself and fellow employees of MacIntosh are looking forward to becoming a part of Alsco Uniforms. We believe that our customer relationships will be strengthened by this acquisition as Alsco Uniforms brings with it a history of customer service excellence.”
“Like our recent acquisition of Churchill Linen, this acquisition of MacIntosh Services puts us in a strong position to service customers in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey areas,” says Jim Kearns, chief operating officer at Alsco Uniforms.
“Along with strategic acquisitions, we will continue to invest in expanding our sales and service teams across North America to support our growth plans.”
Alsco Uniforms now has more than 80 mixed-processing facilities in North America.
