JESSUP, Pa. — Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply, a supplier of uniform and restaurant linen services with a corporate office here, reports it has purchased Capital Uniform Services of Poughkeepsie, New York, from founders Dan and Elizabeth Morris.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The company says Capital Uniform was founded in 1979 and has spent nearly five decades earning the trust of Hudson Valley businesses.
“Capital Uniform’s customers will continue to receive personal service from members of the Morris family who are staying on to represent Dempsey,” says PJ Dempsey, president of Dempsey Uniform & Linen Supply.
“Those same friendly faces are now backed by Dempsey’s operational strengths and resources, commitment to innovation, and continuing integration of technologies that elevate our customers’ experience.”
Dempsey’s capacity will enable the company to serve a higher volume of commercial, industrial, and hospitality businesses in the Hudson Valley, expanding service south along the Hudson River from Hyde Park through Poughkeepsie, Beacon, and Newburgh, to White Plains and Yonkers in metropolitan New York City.
With an expanded territory comes the need for an expanded team. According to Katharine Dempsey Spanish, the company’s director of digital transformation, “We are always on the lookout for talented individuals and go to great lengths to make sure people feel connected, challenged, and proud to be a part of our family of employees. For those interested in a career with Dempsey, opportunities are listed on our website.”
