SALT LAKE CITY — Alsco Uniforms, headquartered here, is donating $50,000 to the Southern California division of The Salvation Army to support wildfire recovery efforts across the region.
The company operates three laundry facilities in Vista, Anaheim and Los Angeles providing uniform, linen, floor mat, first aid and restroom supply services.
“At Alsco Uniforms, we are deeply connected to the communities we serve,” says Bob Steiner, chief executive officer of Alsco Uniforms. “Southern California businesses have supported us for decades, and we are committed to standing with these communities in their time of need. Our goal is to help families recover and rebuild, and we are honored to contribute to these essential relief efforts.”
Additionally, Alsco Uniforms has supplied over 8,000 face masks and partnered with the Dream Center, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit, to distribute laundry detergent to those directly impacted by the fires.
Throughout January 2025, 17 wildfires burned across the Los Angeles metropolitan area and San Diego County, destroying entire communities, including Pacific Palisades and Altadena.
The fires displaced thousands, resulted in numerous injuries and tragic losses, and left widespread devastation in their wake. In response, organizations nationwide have rallied to provide aid and support to those affected.
Across Southern California, The Salvation Army is working around the clock to provide immediate relief with food, shelter and support. They are also creating long-term solutions for assisting these communities as they rebuild. Alsco says its donation will help secure these essential supplies and fund recovery efforts.
The Dream Center, known for its deep ties to the local community, assisting Angelenos displaced by the fires. The donated laundry detergent will be included in care packages distributed to families as they return home and begin the rebuilding process.
