SALT LAKE CITY — After relocating from a downtown location in San Diego, Alsco Uniforms reports it has opened a laundry processing facility in Vista, California.
The plant will produce hygienically clean uniforms, linens, floor mats and mops while providing first aid and restroom supplies to its growing customer base throughout Southern California.
Alsco Uniforms maintains a fleet of 20 delivery vehicles servicing more than 1,500 customers across the San Diego area.
The new plant covers 74,000 square feet on 5.3 acres in Vista. Featuring cutting-edge technology that improves operational efficiency, the facility is among the most advanced of its kind in North America, allowing Alsco Uniforms to process more than 600,000 pounds of laundry per week, according to the company.
“Our new plant is designed with a forward-thinking approach, equipped with advanced technology to handle up to three times as many customers,” says CEO Bob Steiner.
“This capacity guarantees that we are well prepared to meet growing customer demands while continuing to deliver exceptional service.”
Alsco Uniforms kept the community a central focus when designing this facility and contributed to local enhancement projects throughout the construction process.
“We look forward to serving Vista and the greater San Diego area for years to come, and we are so proud of the positive impact that our new facility will make in the community,” says General Manager Francisco Lopez.
Mayor John Franklin of Vista shares, “It is my great pleasure to welcome Alsco Uniforms to the vibrant community of Vista, specifically to the Shadowridge area. We are proud to have such a storied company choose Vista as its newest location, which will bring economic growth and employment opportunities with it.
“On behalf of the City of Vista, I congratulate Alsco Uniforms on opening its new facility and look forward to seeing its continued success and contributions to our community.”
As part of the emphasis on sustainable growth, Alsco Uniforms has equipped its new facility with advanced laundry processing technology designed to reduce water and energy use. The company is committed to minimizing its environmental footprint through sustainable practices that benefit the local community and the environment.
Reusable uniforms and linens at their core support sustainability, and every business should consider these sustainable alternatives to disposable products, the company says.
