BROCKTON, Mass. — Bay State Linen, a commercial laundry, linen rental, and dry-cleaning service provider headquartered here, has received a 2026 Mass Save Impact Award in recognition of its commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability.
The Mass Save Impact Awards, formerly known as the Mass Save Climate Leaders initiative, recognize organizations making measurable progress through energy efficiency, electrification, decarbonization and building improvements.
Bay State Linen earned the recognition through investments in energy-saving technologies and high-impact equipment upgrades, including energy-efficient tunnel washers, ironers, and dryers.
Working with the sponsors of Mass Save, the company completed several large-scale projects designed to improve operational efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
Collectively, the improvements are projected to save approximately 7.9 million lifetime therms, equivalent to nearly 794,000 lifetime million British thermal units (MMBtu) of energy.
Officials say the projects show how investments in advanced laundry equipment can cut energy costs while improving operations in the commercial laundry industry.
Seventeen organizations and communities across Massachusetts were recognized for leadership in energy efficiency, electrification, building modernization, and other initiatives that help advance the state’s clean energy goals while delivering environmental and economic benefits.
The 2026 Mass Save Impact Award recipients were honored at a ceremony at the Massachusetts State House on Oct. 27.
Mass Save is Massachusetts’ statewide energy efficiency and electrification initiative, led by a collaborative of electric and natural gas utilities and energy efficiency service providers.
