Prudential Overall Supply Breaks Ground for Texas Facility

Cleanroom, industrial laundry processing facility scheduled for Q1 2028 completion

AUSTIN, Texas — Prudential Overall Supply, a provider of reusable image work apparel, facility services, and cleanroom laundry service systems, recently celebrated the groundbreaking and ribboncutting of its newest state-of-the-art cleanroom and industrial laundry processing facility here.

The Oct. 1 ceremony brought together Prudential employees, customers, suppliers, community partners, project partners, and invited guests to recognize the company’s continued investment and expansion in Texas.

According to the company, the project represents an anticipated $40 million to $45 million investment in the Austin community. The new facility is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2028 and, when fully operational, create more than 150 jobs.

Prudential President Chris Welch welcomed attendees and emphasized that the project represents more than an expansion of the company’s physical footprint.

“More important than the building itself are the opportunities it will create for people, customers, and the communities we serve,” says Welch. “This investment will allow Prudential to strengthen our service capabilities, support continued growth, and build new relationships throughout Texas and the surrounding region.”

Prudential’s cleanroom division supports organizations operating in controlled environments, including the semiconductor, pharmaceutical, bioscience, aerospace, and electronics industries. Its industrial division provides uniforms, floor mats, towels, napkins and related facility products.

The company says the facility will strengthen its ability to serve cleanroom customers throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, expanding the company’s capacity across an important and growing region.

Once completed, the Austin operation will become Prudential’s 38th U.S. location and its ninth ISO Class 3 cleanroom laundry processing facility. It is planned to be among the industry’s newest, most modern, and largest combined cleanroom and industrial laundry processing facilities in the country.

Once this facility is fully operational, Prudential will be able to process approximately 82 million pounds of industrial laundry and 20 million pounds of cleanroom laundry annually, providing significant processing capacity.

“We are proud to invest in Austin, proud to expand our presence in Texas, and excited about what this facility will mean for our customers, employees, and the communities we serve,” Welch says.

The event concluded with a ceremonial ribboncutting and groundbreaking, marking both the celebration of Prudential’s presence here today and the start of the next phase of its investment in the market.
