Crown Linen Set to Open New Florida Facility

March launch will expand capacity to serve area’s hospitality industry

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — Crown Linen, a commercial laundry service provider for upscale hotels across Florida and Georgia, reports it will open its new 50,000-square-foot laundry facility here in March.

The expansion increases Crown Linen’s capacity to support South Florida’s growing lodging market and reinforces the company’s long-term investment in the region, the company states.

“This is one of the most technologically advanced hospitality laundry facilities ever built in South Florida,” says Pablo Lucchesi, CEO of Crown Linen. “Hotel operators today are rethinking how back-of-house operations are handled as staffing pressures, space constraints and tighter margins reshape the industry. Many newer hotels are no longer building on-site laundry at all.

“This facility was designed to provide both reliability and scale, allowing us to operate as a true extension of a hotel’s team and letting them stay focused on delivering great guest experiences.”

Crown Linen’s Pompano Beach facility will serve hotels throughout Broward and Palm Beach counties — including newly opened properties like Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel and existing properties like Beach House Fort Lauderdale, a Hilton Resort — with 24/7 operations and an annual linen-processing capacity of approximately 30 million pounds.

Equipped with cutting-edge machinery and advanced automation, Crown says the facility will enable faster, high-volume processing, and reduced water and energy usage while providing reliable, consistent service customized to the needs of each hotel.

Highlights include:

  • Two JENSEN tunnel washers capable of handling large quantities of hotel linens with a gentle, fabric-friendly wash that reduces wear compared with conventional hotel washers.
  • Advanced ironing and folding machines for sheets, pillowcases, napkins, and towels, using automated folding and laser-guided technology for precise and consistent finishing.
  • An automated, ceiling-mounted rail system that transports linens throughout the facility, improving speed and workflow compared to manual carts.
  • Specialized washers dedicated to smaller, specialty loads such as spa and food-and-beverage linens.

Every process at the Pompano Beach facility has been designed for precision, transparency and consistency, the company says. All linens will be hand-sorted by hotel account and category, including guest room, pool, spa, and food-and-beverage items. Wash cycles will be customized for fabric type and load size, with tunnel washers automatically adjusting water and cleaning solutions to provide a gentle, efficient and uniform clean.

Every load will undergo hands-on quality control before packaging, ensuring linens meet the high standards hospitality partners expect. Additionally, advanced truck tracking and real-time logistics monitoring will provide hotels with complete visibility into their daily deliveries.

Crown Linen says that together with its existing Miami operation and multi-plant network throughout Florida, the new facility will help hotels maintain seamless linen service even during peak periods, hurricanes, or other disruptions.

The expansion will create approximately 150 new jobs across roles including sorting, quality control, supervision, logistics, maintenance, engineering and transportation.
