NEW BERLIN, Wis. — ITU AbsorbTech, an environmental services company based here, reports it has been named a 2024 Champion of Learning by the Association for Talent Development (ATD).
The national recognition honors organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to talent development and continuous learning in the workplace.
“One of our core business tenets is to hire exceptional people and invest in their growth,” says Craig Bald, ITU AbsorbTech’s president and CEO.
“Our learning culture is about giving employees the tools to succeed, both on and off the job. Our people are the reason ITU AbsorbTech continues to grow and thrive.”
In 2024, the company expanded its learning and development initiatives across key areas, including:
- Career Connections — A voluntary, employee-driven program that supports personal goal-setting, skill development and career advancement.
- Financial Wellness Education — Informational sessions covering retirement planning, beneficiary selection and more to support employee confidence in their financial futures.
- Safety Training — Thousands of trainings were completed through ITU AbsorbTech’s AbsorbU platform, including expanded certifications for powered industrial equipment operation.
“I consistently hear from employees how cared for by leadership they feel, and I believe a big part of that is the way that the company invests in their success,” says Lindsay Skatrud, ITU AbsorbTech’s organizational development manager.
“Not only does continued professional training help our people succeed at work, but an increased focus on personal safety and financial wellness helps them live a good life when they’re not here.”
