Wintz Retires from Standard Textile

Spent 40 years supporting healthcare, laundry industry

CINCINNATI — Textile provider Standard Textile reports John Wintz, group vice president, retired effective July 1.

He spent 40 years dedicated to advancing the healthcare and laundry industries.

Wintz began his career at Standard Textile as a healthcare consultant in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and has served in a variety of leadership roles supporting partnerships with healthcare systems, commercial laundries and cooperative laundries nationwide.

“John has been a passionate advocate for our customers and our industry,” says Tom Main, group vice president of national accounts for Standard Textile. “His ability to connect with people, solve complex challenges, and deliver meaningful results has earned him lasting trust and respect across the healthcare laundry communities.”

In addition to his work with customers, Wintz has been an active contributor to the broader industry. He served in leadership roles with TRSA, the International Association for Healthcare Textile Management (IAHTM), and the Association for Linen Management (ALM), and supported initiatives of the American Reusable Textile Association (ARTA).

A respected voice in the field, he has spoken at numerous industry conferences, most recently sharing his expertise at a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine workshop and the 2024 Techtextil North America Symposium, where he addressed the role of reusable textiles in healthcare.

Wintz earned his MBA from the University of North Texas and consistently brought a strategic and operational perspective to his work, the company shares.

In retirement, Wintz plans to spend more time with his family and focus on giving back through community service.
