MAUMEE, Ohio — Spartan Chemical Co., a manufacturer of sustainable cleaning and sanitation solutions based here, reports that John Swigart assumed the role of CEO, effective April 15.
Swigart began his career with Spartan Chemical in 1999, working in various areas in the plant before transitioning into sales as the distributor relations manager. He advanced to vice president in October 2005 and was named executive vice president in April 2009.
For the past 15 years, he has served as president, and will now also serve as CEO.
Former CEO Steve Swigart, John’s father, will continue to play a role as chairman of the board.
