Mountain Electronics Acquires ALJ Electronics/ALJCO

Deal unites long-standing circuit board repair businesses in commercial laundry industry

BURNSVILLE, N.C. — Mountain Electronics, located here, reports that in October it acquired ALJ Electronics/ALJCO of Hawthorne, California. Both companies are long-standing circuit board repair businesses in the commercial laundry industry.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Al Johnson, founder of ALJ Electronics in the 1980s, was a pioneer in the laundry electronics repair industry, Mountain Electronics says. Its team is excited and honored to continue the legacy of quality repairs and excellent service that the Johnson family maintained.  

Mountain Electronics has been repairing circuit boards for the commercial laundry industry since 1999. The company says it remanufactures circuit boards from every manufacturer and nearly every model of machine. 

Each board receives gets washed, parts that tend to fail get removed and replaced, and then a trained technician performs the final testing, diagnostics, and repairs. This process allows Mountain Electronics to confidently offer one-year warranties on all repairs.  

The company says it is honoring all valid ALJ warranties.

Mountain Electronics also offers such as free inbound and outbound shipping, next-day repairs with its “Rush” service, and an inventory of refurbished boards and new parts for sale.
