CINCINNATI — Cintas Corp. has opened a new ISO Class 3-7 cleanroom laundry facility in Westland, Mich., equipped with process isolation control that allows for the simultaneous, linear batch lot flow of cleanroom garments.
It exceeds guidelines specified in the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology standard IEST-RP-CC003.3 Garment Considerations for Cleanrooms and Other Controlled Environments, Cintas says.

The cleanroom complex and equipment are validated to the 21 CFR Part 820 quality management standards. Cintas has also implemented an ISO 9001-based quality management system to help ensure quality processes and protocol are followed throughout the business. The facility’s infrastructure and supporting utilities are designed to accommodate future growth.
Cintas’ five cleanroom laundry facilities throughout the U.S. employ low-dose ranges and stringent processing controls to ensure that garments are sterilized to 10-6 SAL — a sterilization level 1,000 times greater than competitors, Cintas claims. A certified contamination and quality control technician, dedicated quality assurance managers and microscopists are on-site at each Cintas laundry location.
In addition to laundry services, Cintas nationally supplies more than 10,000 cleanroom products for sterile and nonsterile environments.
