BEACON FALLS, Conn. — Lavatec Laundry Technology reports that it has reached a purchase agreement with Central Florida Laundry, under which the Orlando, Fla.-based company will replace its older LAVATEC equipment with two new TT-series premium dryers.
The 465-pound-capacity, energy-efficient machines are expected to be installed this summer.
Central Florida Laundry has provided services to hospitality organizations for eight years. Operating from a 35,000-square-foot facility, it employs 28 people who work one shift seven days a week. The company processed 14.5 million pounds of linen in 2025 and estimates it will show a healthy increase this year.
“With the expected increase of outside commercial business, we anticipate handling as much as 18 million pounds of laundry in 2026,” says Yassine Aitboukil, the company’s new laundry services sales manager.
“Richard Cowan, our national director of housekeeping, met with Lavatec officials at The Clean Show six months ago. The customer service and ease of working with them have been top-notch, and he was impressed with the drying equipment that was demonstrated at the show.”
Lavatec Laundry Technology says the TT-series of premium, energy-efficient transfer-batch dryers have been popular with customers for many years.
By taking advantage of its infrared measurement of linen surface temperatures for the shortest possible drying times with minimal energy consumption, the company says its customers can reduce their labor and utility costs.
