ASHES, ALM Agree on Reciprocal Pricing System for Products, Services

CHICAGO — The American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES) and the Association for Linen Management (ALM) have agreed to establish a new pricing program that will enable their members to obtain discounted products and services from either organization.
“We hope to enhance benefits to our members and create synergy between healthcare environmental services and linen management,” says Jim Thacker, ALM’s executive director.
“Given the fact that over 63% of our members have responsibility for linen distribution and over 43% are responsible for processing the textiles, ASHES saw an opportunity to join forces and maximize the opportunity for our members,” says Patti Costello, ASHES’ executive director.
ASHES and ALM are developing a formal plan for successfully implementing this agreement.
ASHES, headquartered in Chicago, is the premier healthcare organization for more than 2,200 environmental services, housekeeping, waste management, transport and textile care professionals, and is the only healthcare environmental services organization affiliated with the American Hospital Association (AHA).
ALM, headquartered in Richmond, Ky., is the premier educational source for people and organizations that purchase, process, distribute and manage the use of linens and other textile products.
