I was just reading your story about how Superior Linen Supply Co. last year overcame a plant fire to keep servicing their customers (18 Months After Fire, KC Linen Supplier Going Strong).
It’s a great story, but there is an important correction: AmeriPride Services has been operating in Nebraska since 1889. In your story, you highlight that Superior claims to be the oldest operating laundry west of the Mississippi. They started in 1893.
That’s fine that Superior claims to be the oldest, but a quick search would have proven their company’s claim incorrect. It is an especially curious claim considering one of the largest textile rental companies in North America beats them out by four full years.
This story is over a year old, but thought it was important to point out regardless.
