IAHTM Gears Up for 2010 Spring Conference

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Members of the International Association for Healthcare Textile Management (IAHTM) are gearing up for their 2010 Spring Conference themed Initiating a Healthy Team Mindset.
The May 10-12 conference organized by Myles Noel and his team at COMTEX will focus on employment law, teamwork, and creating a healthy workforce, and promises to provide the tools needed to navigate the sometimes-tricky maze of legal and social issues that arise in today’s workplace.
Wendy Webb and Zeke Zeliff, who work as consultants, trainers and coaches for companies and organizations, will lead a workshop exploring how effective teams are developed and other fundamental approaches to maintaining and sustaining teams.
Larry Feheley and Brandon Feheley, lawyers from the professional services firm of Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter, will offer Ten Ways to Guarantee Your Employees Will Sue You, Hiring Employees — The Good, The Bad and the Risky, and Managing and Documenting Employee Performance, and conduct an open forum where participants can take Free Shots at an Employment Lawyer.
The Columbus Renaissance Hotel will host the three-day event. Room rates are $114 for single/double and $200 for suites. Members should ask for the IAHTM room block under COMTEX when calling for reservations at 614-228-5050.
IAHTM bills itself as the world’s largest central-laundry organization. For more conference information, visit the group’s Web site at www.iahtm.com, or contact Nancy Jenkins at 208-964-2923.
