TRSA Tech/Plant Summit Showcases Safety, Innovation

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Safety is one of the most pressing issues facing the laundry industry, and next month’s Tech/Plant Summit offered by the Textile Rental Services Association (TRSA) will address it head-on during 21/2 days of educational sessions, plant tours and networking opportunities.
More than 150 textile service operators have already signed up for the Feb. 26-28 event in Dallas, at the Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center hotel.
Attendees will be able to participate in more than 22 educational sessions on topics that are directly affecting operations today. The agenda includes several sessions on improving plant safety, as well as other classes on increasing productivity, enhancing energy efficiency and conserving water, among other topics.
TRSA will host four plant tours. Attendees will have the opportunity to see garment laundering at ARAMARK’s Dallas facility; healthcare processing at North Texas Health Care Laundry, Grand Prairie, Texas, and HCA of North Texas, Coppell, Texas; plus mixed-plant operations at Admiral Linen and Uniform Service in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Summit’s annual Trade Fair and Reception has been extended, with the reception beginning in the exhibit’s final hour. More than 70 vendors were on hand last year in Atlanta to showcase their innovative products and solutions.
Registration fees for the Tech/Plant Summit are $539 for first member attendees and $489 for each additional registrant. Operators can take advantage of additional savings when signing up four or more total attendees. Nonmember operators and vendors may register on a higher fee schedule.
Three full breakfasts, two lunches, endless breaks and the reception are included in the fee, TRSA says.
A group rate of $184 per night plus taxes is available by calling the hotel at 800-984-1344 and referencing “TRSA Tech/Plant Summit.”
