TRSA Names Ricci President

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Textile Rental Services Association (TRSA) has named Joseph Ricci, a 20-year association executive, as its new president. He will begin serving Monday.
“We’re ready to start a new chapter in the life of TRSA,” says Woody Ostrow, chairman of TRSA’s Executive Search Committee and president of CleanCare in Pittsburgh. “Joseph Ricci brings an outstanding track record in association management. He’s consistently grown non-dues revenue, membership, programs, and balance sheets at several trade groups that are comparable in size and scope to TRSA. I’m convinced that he’ll build on the success that Roger (Cocivera) has had over the past six years. Roger’s tenure culminated in the successful blending of TRSA and UTSA.”
“We owe Roger our sincere thanks for the dedication, creativity, drive, and enthusiasm he’s brought to the industry, both as an operator and as president of TRSA,” says Jeff Wright, TRSA chairman and executive vice president and CFO of G&K Services Inc. in Minnetonka, Minn. “His accomplishments in areas such as industry education have set the stage for us to make even more progress. In Joseph Ricci, we have the right person to continue that tradition of enhancing the value of TRSA.”
Ricci most recently served as executive director for two associations at SmithBucklin Corp. — the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA) and the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ACOMS). Before joining SmithBucklin, Ricci launched and operated Ricci Communications in 2001-2005. He’s also a former vice president of corporate communications for Vance International.
A certified association executive, Ricci has testified on Capitol Hill and has served as a media spokesperson to outlets such as CNN, Fox and ABC News. He has a master of arts degree in business communications from George Mason University, Fairfax, Va.
