Tingue, Brown & Co. Appoints David Tingue President/CEO

SADDLE BROOK, N.J. — The board of directors for Tingue, Brown & Co. has named David M. Tingue president and chief executive officer. His father, William J. Tingue, who became president in September 1986 and had been CEO since July 1992, made the announcement.
William Tingue retired to the position of nonexecutive chairman upon David Tingue assuming the corporate reins.
Tingue, Brown is a long-time supplier to laundries and other industries nationwide. David Tingue represents the fourth generation of the Tingue family to manage the organization.
Until this promotion, he was president of the firm’s Tingue, Brown division, the entity that deals directly with laundries; he had held that post since 2000. In addition, he has served as president of the firm’s Talley Machinery division, a rebuilder of ironers and supplier of machinery parts.
He graduated from Brown University in 1987 with a bachelor of arts degree in economics, worked at Chase Manhattan Bank and CitiBank in private banking for three years and then earned an MBA degree at Cornell University. He joined Tingue, Brown & Co. in 1992 and has been instrumental in its significant growth over recent years, the company says.
“David has had many responsibilities within the company,” says William Tingue, “and has performed them with skill and enthusiasm. In addition, he has brought to the company a team of professionals who know and enjoy their work and who understand their importance to the company’s success.”
David Tingue resides in Wilmette, Ill., with his two children, John, 12, and Darby, 10.
