Survey: Vast Majority of Respondents Play Some Role in Maintenance

CHICAGO — Nearly 80% of laundry managers and administrators responding to this month's Wire survey say they perform some level of basic equipment maintenance in their laundry.
About 1 in 10 respondents say their laundry's maintenance efforts have actually backfired at some point, requiring repairs or even replacement.
Performing basic maintenance today is seen by 43% of respondents as "harder" than in the past and by 38% as "easier." The remainder sees it as being "no different."
Subscribers to American Laundry News’ Wire e-mails — now distributed weekly — are invited to participate in an industry survey each month. The survey is conducted online via a partner website. Each survey is developed so it can be completed in 10 minutes or less. Readers are encouraged to participate, as a greater number of responses will help to better define operator opinions and industry trends.
