Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show Highlights Business-Savvy Equipment

CHICAGO — Restaurant and hospitality industry professionals on the lookout for the latest front- and back-of-the-house equipment – including laundry equipment – to drive productivity and revenues may want to investigate the annual Restaurant, Hotel-Motel Show sponsored by the National Restaurant Association (NRA).
“Technology and innovation … has never been more diverse, and many products on the market today are designed not only to perform the function for which the equipment is intended, but also to conserve energy and water, increase productivity and save space,” says William Anton, chairman of the four-day convention that starts May 19 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. More than 2,000 exhibitors will be on hand.
Much of the exhibit floor will be devoted to products related to cooking and fine dining, but hospitality linens, uniforms and the equipment/services needed to clean them will also be on display.
Chicago Dryer Co., Pellerin Milnor Corp. and Alliance Laundry Systems brands Speed Queen and UniMac are listed among the laundry equipment exhibitors. Baltic Linen, Hilden America, Milliken & Co., Quip Table Linens, Riegel and Something Different Linen are among the linen exhibitors, and Alsco and ARAMARK Uniform Services top the list of companies offering uniform solutions.
More than 73,000 people are anticipated to attend. General registration at the site will be $70 per person; NRA members may register free. For more information, visit the event’s website at www.restaurant.org/show or call 312-853-2525.
