ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Pledging to enhance the Textile Rental Services Association’s role in representing the industry to customer businesses and government, Woody Ostrow was elected chairman of the TRSA board during the association’s recent Annual Convention in California.
Ostrow, the president of CleanCare, a Pittsburgh healthcare and hospitality laundry, will prompt TRSA to build greater visibility of the textile services industry in its primary business-to-business customer markets. He is also concerned about potentially onerous industry regulation, and has called on TRSA member companies and individuals to “get more engaged” in the association’s government relations activities and to contribute their expertise “to educate, protect and expand the market for textile services.”
Joining Ostrow in the TRSA leadership are 20 other members of the Board of Directors, four of whom serve on the Executive Committee. They are Immediate Past President Jeff Wright, G&K Services, Minneapolis; Treasurer Michael Potack, Unitex Textile Services, Mount Vernon, N.Y.; Vice Chairman Jim Doro, Doritex Corp., Alden, N.Y.; and Thomas Vozzo, Aramark Uniform and Career Apparel, Burbank, Calif.
