Nursing Home Privatizes Laundry Service

MORRIS TOWNSHIP, N.J. — Laundry services at the Morris View Nursing Home are being privatized under a new contract with Sodexho, according to the Daily Record, Parsippany, N.J.
The township's Board of Freeholders approved a three-year, $2.8 million deal on May 10.
County officials say the switch will save the 290-patient facility $500,000 annually.
A contract clause requires Sodexho to offer jobs to the 57 workers who are being laid off before anyone else is hired, reports The Star-Ledger, Newark, N.J.
Sodexho is due to take over Aug. 1.
