Nomination Period for HLAC Board Opens Wednesday

FRANKFORT, Ill. — The Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) will begin accepting nominations on Wednesday for its 2011 Board of Directors. Nominations are for a 2011-2013 term.
Per the HLAC Bylaws, four positions are elected or re-elected to the Board of Directors each year. Board seats are categorized into four classes.
 
Class 1 represents the commercial healthcare textile laundry operator. Rob Potack, vice president, operations, Unitex Textile Rental is running for re-election. There is also an open seat.
Class 2 represents industry associations interested in the processing of healthcare textiles, such as ALM, ARTA, TRSA, APIC and others. Incumbents running for re-election are Bill Mann, director, industry affairs, Textile Rental Services Association (TRSA), and Brad Bushman, vice president, technical affairs, Standard Textile, representing the American Reusable Textile Association (ARTA).
There are no 2011 openings in Class 3, representing in-house or cooperative textile laundry operators, and Class 4, representing the government or users of healthcare textiles.
Preference will be given to accredited laundry organizations for the Class 1 position. Industry professionals who are interested and meet the qualifications are encouraged to fill out and submit the nominee packet, which can be downloaded from www.hlacnet.org.
