New Program Donates Hotel-Quality Sheets to Homeless Shelters

Procter & Gamble Professional, Homewood Suites by Hilton and the National Coalition for the Homeless are combining efforts to donate freshly laundered, hotel-quality sheets to homeless shelters in 15 U.S. cities beginning this week.
"There are many people out there who can benefit from the linens the hotel industry takes out of circulation," says Rebecca Wyatt, senior vice president, brand management, Homewood Suites by Hilton.
The process begins with area hotels donating linens, which are then freshly laundered by local Homewood Suites properties using P&G Pro Line On-Premise Laundry products. The sheets are then given to a National Coalition-affiliated shelter to use as it sees best.
The Mission S.O.F.T. (Start Out Fresh Today) program is currently planned for Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; Dallas; Houston; Los Angeles; Philadelphia; Washington; Boston; Cleveland; Des Moines, Iowa; Detroit; Jacksonville, Fla.; Seattle; Minneapolis; and Charleston, S.C.
