Mission Linen Adds Two More Healthcare Accounts

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Mission Linen Supply reports that it has added two new hospitals — Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, Hollister, Calif., and Bakersfield (Calif.) Heart Hospital — to its growing list of healthcare accounts.
With 172 beds in the Acute Hospital and Skilled Nursing Facilities combined, Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital generates approximately 54,000 pounds of linen per month. Prior to signing, the hospital was utilizing a customer-owned goods program and contracting an outside commercial laundry for processing, Mission Linen says.
Bakersfield Heart Hospital is a for-profit hospital specializing in heart and vascular care. Its 54 patient beds generate approximately 30,000 pounds of laundry monthly. In an attempt to extend a “resort feel” to patient care, the hospital will rent luxury linens to provide an upscale experience for its patients, according to Mission Linen.
