In Memoriam: George Graves, G.S. Manufacturing

Established aluminum laundry cart company in 1985

KINGSTON, Ontario — George Graves, founder of laundry cart manufacturer G.S. Manufacturing (G.S.M.), passed away May 19, after several years of challenging health problems, the company reports.

Graves established G.S.M. in 1985. The company designs and produces aluminum laundry carts for the institutional, healthcare and hospitality laundry industry. The company says he spoke fondly of his friends in the industry.

Born Jan. 25, 1951, Graves lived an “adventurous, playful, generous life,” the family says, adding that he was a “darling, doting father and an irrepressibly indulging grandfather.”

Graves is survived by his wife, Sue; his children, Cathy (Cory), Laurie (Andrew), and Peter (Danuta); his grandchildren Tia, Logan, Adam, Eli, and Yvonne; his brothers and sisters, Susan (David), Debbie (Orrie), Lynne (Jamie), and Art (Grace); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Graves’s life was held May 27. The family says donations in his memory may be made to Christian Horizons Home, 711 Milford St., Kingston, ON K7M 6E3.
