In Memoriam: Edward S. Kirejczyk Jr., EDRO Corp. Chairman of the Board

EAST BERLIN, Conn. — Edward S. Kirejczyk Jr., chairman of the board of his family business, EDRO Corp., died Oct. 23 at the age of 71, the company reports.
Born in New Britain, Conn., in 1938, he received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Hartford and served in the U.S. Army with the Pioneers, Company D — Third Training Regiment.
He was past chairman of the New Britain Chapter of the American Red Cross, was past president of the Pulaski Club, served as an elected alderman at large, and was a corporator of the YMCA and Boys and Girls Clubs of New Britain. He also served on the Investment Committee of the Klingberg Family Center and the Finance Council for the City of New Britain, and was a member of the Polish Falcons-Nest 88, PNA, Elks Lodge, 44 Club, Shuttle Meadow Country Club, and Knights of Columbus, where he was a fourth-degree Knight.
Kirejczyk and his wife Barbara were devoted to their Catholic faith, serving as Eucharistic ministers at St. Maurice Church and holding membership in the Holy Name Society at Sacred Heart Church, both of New Britain.
Kirejczyk is survived by his wife; his four children, Caroline Wojcicki, Debbie Kirk, Edward S. Kirejczyk III and Scott R. Kirejczyk; a brother, Stephen Kirejczyk; and six grandchildren.
