Mann Tapped for ALM Board of Directors

MIP Inc. VP regular participant in association conferences, events

RICHMOND, Ky. — The Board of Directors of the Association for Linen Management (ALM) reports that Mark Mann has been selected to step in for the recently vacated director post.

Mann is the vice president, USA Business Unit, for MIP Inc.

“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mark Mann,” says Richard Bott, ALM Board president. “MIP is an organization with a rich history of providing ongoing education for both their sales and support professionals, as well as their customers.

“Our shared educational mission makes Mark’s addition to the ALM Board of Directors the perfect fit.”

ALM Executive Director Linda Fairbanks points out Mann’s appointment is well-timed for the association.

“MIP has been a strong proponent of the value in engaging the laundry’s customer, the end-user, in education of sound linen-use practices,” she says. “Mark’s appointment to the ALM Board is perfect timing as we prepare for the August launch of our newest certification program designed for the healthcare linen manager.”

Mann has been a regular participant in ALM conferences and events for many years, including introducing speakers at the 2020 IMPACT Conference, as well as acting as host for the 2020 IMPACT evening event single-handedly due to COVID restrictions preventing the Canadian MIP Inc. contingent from attending.

“One significant learning for me from the last 17 months is that the world has changed in ways that required us all to change our behaviors,” Mann says. “From the way products are made, delivered and even processed, changes are real and there will be more.

“I am looking forward to working with and learning from my ALM colleagues, ALM members and our members' customers to continue to elevate best practices by getting in front of the changes to come.”
