LAVATEC Hires Midwest Regional Sales Manager

Jack Wilson, 24-year industry veteran, to serve customers in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma

BEACON FALLS, Conn. — LAVATEC Laundry Technology Inc., a provider of commercial laundry equipment based here, reports that it has hired Jack Wilson as its Midwest regional sales manager.

A 24-year veteran of the commercial laundry industry, he is based in Atlanta and reports to President and CEO Mark Thrasher. LAVATEC says his hiring is the latest step in the company’s continuing quest to better serve its customers.

Wilson began his career with Loomis Brothers Equipment in St. Louis, learning the business from the service side and working with customers as the parts department manager.

He switched to sales when he joined Tri-State Technical Services as a territory sales manager, and then gained experience as a sales engineer for Speed Check Conveyor.

Wilson moved on to Southeastern Laundry Equipment Sales in Marietta, Georgia, in 2009, where he was later promoted and served as regional sales manager before joining LAVATEC.

“I enjoy solving problems with customers that may require solutions outside of the box,” Wilson says.

“When I was at Southeastern, I developed and implemented a mobile platform for our sales and service departments. Our customers and staff experienced increased communication between all departments.”

Wilson will manage LAVATEC’s customer base in five states including Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma. He’s already made trips through each state and is looking forward to more visits.

“This year I want to visit as many customers as possible and find the best equipment solutions for their efficiency needs,” he says. “I have always enjoyed the large industrial side of our industry. Smaller laundries are important but do not offer the same kind of production and quality challenges.

“I had the opportunity early in my career to learn about LAVATEC equipment through a project I worked on in southern Georgia. I came to appreciate the simplicity and durability of their equipment, and I’m proud to be able to offer these solutions to my customers.”

Wilson has been married to Rebekah for 24 years. They have three daughters and two grandchildren. In their spare time, they enjoy camping and outdoor activities.
