Laundry Industry Companies Fill Openings

CLARK NAMED SALES SUPPORT ENGINEER AT LAVATEC

BEACON FALLS, Conn. — Industry veteran Scott Clark has joined Lavatec Laundry Technology Inc. as sales support engineer, the company reports.

An acknowledged equipment systems and energy conservation specialist, Lavatec says he will work with management to support the operations and sales growth of the company and report to Keith Ware, vice president of sales.

Clark recently ended a 40-year career at Victor Kramer Co., according to Lavatec. A former partner and VP of engineering services, he was serving as a senior consultant when he left the company. During his time there, Clark designed the renovation or new construction of more than 75 institutional laundry facilities and worked with many notable clients throughout the United States and the Middle East, Lavatec says.

“With Lavatec’s significant growth, we were looking for an experienced laundry design specialist,” says Ware. “Someone with Scott’s talents and experience is very rare. Having learned that he might be available, we jumped at the chance to bring Scott into the Lavatec family. Having worked with him in a previous position, I knew of his skills and abilities and believed they would be a tremendous asset to our team.”

Clark’s experience will aid in his responsibilities at Lavatec, the company says. He will support the sales team by developing layouts, drawings and mechanical requirements necessary for the implementation and installation of Lavatec products. His established network also will help in working with laundry consultants outside the United States and Canada.

“This was a very good opportunity that I could not pass up,” Clark says. “The project work, engineering and planning, coupled with the opportunity to create and assist in developing pricing, layouts, and production support, will be a good challenge for me. I’d like to help Lavatec grow while supporting the team and satisfy ownership that they made the right decision to hire me.”

Lavatec says Clark also is a skilled writer. In addition to preparing many of the reports, published articles and other documents produced at his last job, he has written extensively on energy alternatives, facilities programming, systems integration, automation, production control systems, linen conservation and financial controls.
