ASHTABULA, Ohio — Laundry cart manufacturer Meese Orbitron Dunne Co. (MOD) has introduced a program that recycles the plastic from old laundry carts, the company reports. Under the program, MOD accepts old laundry carts with the purchase of new carts and recycles the plastic material for use in the manufacture of new carts, laundry trucks and bulk containers.
Designed for polyethylene plastic laundry carts, the MOD plastics-recycling program allows the company’s customers to replace deteriorating, outdated and/or inefficient bulk laundry carts and linen trucks with carts designed for improved efficiency, durability and ergonomics, all while supporting recycling efforts, saving on fuel and eliminating disposal fees, the company says.
MOD provides the disassembly, storage and recycling services at no charge and contributes a portion of the freight fee to transport the old carts to the company’s recycling facility. MOD will accept plastic carts from any manufacturer for the recycling program, as long as they are in clean condition, the company says.
For additional cash savings, MOD offers carts manufactured from 100% recycled material or a blend of recycled and virgin material at a discount.
