Inc. Magazine Names World Emblem to Fastest-Growing Company List

MIAMI — Inc. magazine has named World Emblem International Inc. to its list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the United States for the second year in a row.
World Emblem designs and manufactures custom-embroidered, screen-printed and sublimated emblems, as well as custom transfers, direct-screen printing, direct embroidery, thermal ID tape, reflective emblems and materials. Headquartered in Miami, World Emblem’s 60,000-square-foot facility is one of the largest in the country, the company says. The company also has manufacturing facilities in Florida, California, Michigan, Georgia, Illinois, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
The Inc. 5,000 is an extension of the magazine’s annual Inc. 500 list. It recognizes businesses that are too big to grow at the pace required to make the Inc. 500, as well as some smaller firms.
Despite the ongoing recession, aggregate revenue among the companies on the list increased to $214 billion, up $29 billion from last year, with a median three-year growth rate of 126%. The Inc. 5,000 companies are responsible for having created more than 1 million jobs since their founding.
