HLSG Buys Assets of Etown Laundry in Kentucky

Group says customers will be serviced out of HLSG’s Logan division

ST. CHARLES, Ill. — Healthcare Linen Services Group (HLSG), a provider of healthcare laundry services in the Midwest and Central United States, reports it has acquired Elizabethtown Laundry & Dry Cleaning (Etown) in Elizabeth, Kentucky.

“We are honored to have worked with the Hartlage Family to transition the healthcare and uniform customers to our platform,” says Joseph LaPorta, president and CEO of HLSG.

“Etown Laundry leaves a legacy of quality products and services of close to 100 years and shares the same values of our Logan’s Division.”

The company says the acquisition of these assets increases its customer base in the state of Kentucky. The customers will be serviced out of the HLSG Logan’s Division in Shelbyville Kentucky.

“The Hartlage and Logan families have known and worked together within our industry for the past 70 years,” says Steve Hartlage of Elizabethtown Laundry Co.

“Logan’s has a similar business model to ours and their customer service is exceptional. It was important that we handed our customers to someone that we felt would meet and exceed customers’ needs along with providing a smooth transition to current service.”

HLSG partners with healthcare administrators, clinicians and staff to deliver a wide variety of comfortable, bacteria-free linens to thousands of hospitals, physician offices, surgery centers and nursing homes.

The company says it operates 11 state-of-the-art processing plants across four premier regional brands: Logan’s Linens and Logan’s Uniform Rental, both in Shelbyville, Kentucky; Superior Health Linens in Cudahy, Wisconsin; and Textile Care Services in Rochester, Minnesota.

These brands and plants manage more than 185 million pounds of healthcare linen on an annual basis for more than 500 customers in 12 states, according to HLSG.
