EVANSTON, Ill. — The Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council (HLAC) is now accepting applications through its website at www.hlacnet.org.
The nonprofit HLAC was formed to inspect and accredit laundries processing healthcare textiles for hospitals, nursing homes and other healthcare facilities.
The fee-based inspection process is entirely voluntary, but the Council anticipates leading healthcare laundries, both for-profit and nonprofit, will seek accreditation.
To help generate early interest, the HLAC is offering a 20% discount on applications submitted with a deposit by June 25.
The accreditation standards under which the inspections will be conducted, along with the application form and much more information, can be found at HLAC's website.
