RICHMOND, Va. — HandCraft Services, a provider of healthcare linen and laundry services on the East Coast based here, reports it has acquired a laundry processing facility in Manassas, Va., from Crothall Healthcare.
Crothall Healthcare is part of the Compass Group family of companies.
HandCraft Services says the acquisition will add more than 22 million pounds of laundry volume and is expected to create more than 15 jobs in Richmond after operations are combined this fall.
“Crothall Healthcare’s commitment to their customers and their reputation for outstanding service aligns perfectly with HandCraft’s values and footprint,” says Keith Nichols, president of HandCraft Services. “This acquisition allows us to better serve our customers in Northern Virginia and Maryland while expanding our services in the healthcare industry.”
HandCraft Services says it processes more than 74 million pounds of linen annually for more than 65 hospitals and 1,000 medical practices.
