HAYWARD, Calif. — Western State Design, a full-service commercial laundry equipment distributor, will convert an existing 50,000-square-foot building here into a state-of-the-art commercial laundry for sale or lease to an operator, the company says.
The building site encompasses 3.87 acres and includes a 14,000-square-foot enclosed service yard. It is strategically located for effective distribution throughout Northern California.
“To find a site with all required utilities, including incoming water, wastewater capacity, electrical and natural gas, to service a commercial laundry in the Bay Area is very rare,” says Dennis Mack, Western State Design’s president. “Because of water and sewage impact fees, it is difficult to build a new laundry facility in this area—yet this location has it all!”
Western State Design is in the preliminary design-development phase of the facility, which will be capable of processing in excess of 40 million pounds annually.
Plans call for water-saving technology, along with automated finishing machines and computerized material-handling systems.
