Fire Destroys Texas’ Lone Star Linen

Building complete loss, according to City of Taylor

TAYLOR, Texas — A fire that started late on Nov. 18 and burned into the next day destroyed Lone Star Linen Inc., according to a press release from the City of Taylor.

“The Taylor Fire Department investigation into the cause of the fire at Lone Star Linen is still ongoing,” says Holli Nelson, public information officer for the City of Taylor. “We have no reason to believe the fire was caused by malicious intent.”

Lone Star Linen had processed linens for businesses in the Taylor area since 1990. Attempts by American Laundry News to reach the business owners for comment were unsuccessful.

The fire department crew from Taylor, along with crews from neighboring Hutto, Round Rock and Georgetown, responded to the call just after 10:30 p.m. Nov. 18. The fire was brought under control in the early hours of Nov. 19, according to the city.

No one was in the building at the time of the fire, and no injuries have been reported to the city.

Officials have declared the structure a total loss.
