Ecolab Ranks Eighth on 2018 Best Corporate Citizens List

Company lands in top 10 for fifth consecutive year

ST. PAUL, Minn. — Ecolab Inc., a provider of water, hygiene and energy technologies and services, ranks eighth on Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine’s 2018 100 Best Corporate Citizens list, the company reports.

The list recognizes the environmental, social and governance (ESG) performance of public companies in the United States. The is the fifth consecutive year the company has ranked in the top 10 on the Best Corporate Citizens list.

“Our 48,000 associates are dedicated to a noble purpose: to make the world cleaner, safer and healthier,” says Ecolab Chairman and CEO Douglas M. Baker, Jr. “We take our responsibilities seriously—to our customers, our communities, our shareholders and to each other.”

CR Magazine's 100 Best Corporate Citizens list ranks companies on the Russell 1000 Index based on an assessment of 260 publicly available ESG data points of performance and disclosure across seven categories: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, financial performance and philanthropy and community support.

Ecolab ranked 10th on the 2017, fifth on the 2016, ninth on the 2015 and seventh on the 2014 Best Corporate Citizens lists.
