Dickies Occupational Wear Launches Ecopride Line

NEW ORLEANS — Dickies Occupational Wear division announced at Clean Show 2013 the Ecopride line, an environmentally responsible uniform offering crafted from cotton polyester fabric containing a minimum of 23 percent recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plastic. The Ecopride line features four garments: a five-pocket jean, carpenter jean, long-sleeve poplin shirt, and relaxed-fit twill work pant.

“Dickies Ecopride line uses REPREVE® recycled polyester, created from post-industrial fiber waste and post-consumer plastic bottles, with the brand’s durable cotton fabric to create Ecopride line garments,” said Claudia Zavala, general manager of occupational wear at Dickies. “This unique blend is remarkably soft and lightweight while maintaining Dickies’ signature durability and comfort.”

In addition to the Dickies Ecopride line, the occupational wear division recently launched a head-to-toe uniform solution, service expansion to Canada and Mexico, and garment embroidery services.
