Darling’s, Fowler and Laundry Systems of Tennessee Earn Continental Distributor of the Year Awards

Companies honored for outstanding performance in different laundry types

OSHKOSH, Wis.— Continental Girbau Inc. recently recognized Darling’s Sales & Service Co., Fowler Equipment Co. and Laundry Systems of Tennessee with Distributor of the Year awards, the company reports.

Darling’s earned the 2016 On-premise Laundry Distributor of the Year award, an honor that distinguishes distributors for outstanding performance in the on-premises laundry market; Fowler won the Distributor of the Year award for outstanding sales and support in both the on-premises and vended laundry markets; and Laundry Systems of Tennessee took home the Girbau Industrial Laundry Distributor of the Year award for unsurpassed performance in the industrial laundry market.

Darling’s, in Blaine, Minn., received its 12th On-premise Laundry Distributor of the Year Award since partnering with Continental in 1995. Family-owned for 50 years, the full-service distributorship works closely with customers to improve on-premises laundry productivity and efficiency through assistance with financial planning and selection of advanced laundry equipment to slash utilities and energy consumption, the company says.

“Darling’s Sales & Service is simply one of Continental’s highest performing distributors,” says Joel Jorgensen, Continental vice president of sales. “They’ve once again earned this award as a result of their incredible on-premises laundry sales and support throughout 2016.”

Fowler, a full-service distributor, earned Continental’s highest honor as the Distributor of the Year for both on-premises and vended laundry sales. It also earned Continental’s Multi-Housing Distributor of the Year award.

“Fowler continues to develop, reinvest and grow,” says Jorgensen. “It’s a fantastic company with great leadership.”

Among the largest on-premises, multi-housing and vended laundry equipment distributors in the Mid-Atlantic region, Fowler, in Bloomfield, N.J., is a full-service company offering technical service and parts, as well as expert assistance with on-premises, vended and multi-housing laundry development, according to Continental.

Laundry Systems of Tennessee, in Sevierville, Tenn., is a full-service, on-premises, industrial and vended laundry equipment distributor serving Tennessee and the Carolinas. The family-owned company provides a wide breadth of products, including tunnel systems, washers, dryers, feeders, ironers, folders, stackers and ozone systems, as well as a fully stocked parts warehouse and a staff of factory-trained technicians.

According to Continental, over the course of the last year, Laundry Systems of Tennessee has provided critical equipment and support for a number of large-scale and high-volume industrial laundries.

“President Jeff Large and his staff have gone above and beyond to help establish and ensure the success of these laundry operations,” Jorgensen says. “They’ve helped launch the Girbau Industrial brand within the hospitality and party rental industries.”
