OSHKOSH, Wis. — Continental Girbau Inc. recently named Darling’s Sales & Service Co., Blaine, Minn., as its 2014 On-Premises Laundry Distributor of the Year, according to a company press release.
Darling’s has received 10 On-Premises Laundry Distributor of the Year Awards since partnering with Continental in 1995.
“They were one of the first in the industry to partner with Continental in 1995,” says Joel Jorgensen, vice president of sales and customer services for Continental. “It’s been a fantastic business partnership based on trust, honesty and good will. Darling’s has always provided unrivaled personal service and attention to detail.”
This year marks the Minnesota distributor’s 50th anniversary.
Founder Ralph Darling says, “I started the business by doing service work out of my garage. I decided at a young age that I would start my own business, and I never gave up on that dream. Over the years, the business grew and grew.”
Family-owned and -operated with his wife, Nancy, and his son, Brad, the company is committed to providing quality equipment and excellent service to customers, Darling says.
“In the early years, I had to beg for a line of equipment to sell,” he says. “There were so many distributors in our area back then. Now there are only four. I feel that we sell the best equipment there is.”
