Clean '09 Ready to Open Exhibit Sales in May

ATLANTA – Exhibit sales open next month for Clean ’09, the premier textile care industry trade show, scheduled for June 18-21, 2009, in New Orleans.
Riddle & Associates, the show’s longtime management firm, says the exhibitor prospectus will go out to Clean ’07 exhibitors the first week in May. Exhibitors at previous Clean Shows and others who have expressed interest in exhibiting will receive a prospectus later in the month.
GES Exposition Services returns as general service contractor, beating out four other companies that bid for the opportunity. Headquartered in Las Vegas, GES is the nation’s leading service contractor, working with 3,000 exhibitions and events annually. It last served the Clean Show in 2003.
The Clean Executive Committee visited New Orleans last fall to observe firsthand that the Crescent City is prepared for the 2009 event.
“New Orleans is ready for us, and we are expecting to have a great show,” promises John Riddle, president of the management company.
The Clean Show – formally the World Educational Congress for Laundering and Drycleaning – is the world’s largest exhibition of working laundry and drycleaning equipment, Riddle & Associates says. Clean ’07 drew nearly 15,000 people from around the world, representing 83 countries.
“Virtually every product and service used in the textile care industry will be on display at Clean ’09,” Riddle says. “Buyers and sellers can meet face to face, and buyers can see and compare actual working equipment and products.”
Show sponsors are the Association for Linen Management (ALM; formerly National Association of Institutional Linen Management), Coin Laundry Association (CLA), Drycleaning & Laundry Institute (DLI; formerly International Fabricare Institute), Textile Care Allied Trades Association (TCATA), Textile Rental Services Association of America (TRSA) and the Uniform & Textile Service Association (UTSA).
“Clean Show participation for both exhibitors and attendees goes beyond just the benefits of being at the show,” says Riddle. “They are supporting the entire textile care industry through programs of the show’s sponsoring associations that include research, education, government relations and more.”
Clean ’09 is developing a hotel package with a wide range of rates at 18 New Orleans hotels. The New Orleans Housing Bureau will begin taking reservations in August. Attendee promotion and show registration for the June 2009 event will begin in November.
New Orleans last hosted the Clean Show in 2001. It was to have hosted Clean ’07 but Hurricane Katrina’s impact on the area prompted the Clean Executive Committee to relocate that show to Las Vegas.
