MINNEAPOLIS — The City of Phoenix, Ariz., recently honored the G&K Services facility there for its outstanding commitment to preserving water quality, the company reports.
G&K’s facility achieved full compliance with the city’s requirements for wastewater pretreatment, marking the fifth consecutive year that Phoenix has recognized the industrial launderer for this achievement.
“We are proud to be recognized for our effort to maintain water quality in Phoenix,” says Dick Stutz, G&K’s senior vice president of operations. “Achieving our fifth consecutive year of full compliance reflects G&K’s company-wide commitment to environmental stewardship and reducing wastewater pollution.”
G&K Services considers itself an industry leader in the design, development and implementation of environmentally responsible industrial laundry practices. It has processes in place to minimize wastewater pollutants and ensure compliance with environmental regulations at all of its locations, the company says.
