Army Streamlines Service Uniforms to One Style

WASHINGTON — Army service uniforms will be streamlined to one blue Army Service Uniform, the U.S. Army announces, with mandatory possession by fiscal 2011.
Many soldiers already own an Army blue uniform and may continue to wear it. The fabric and fit will be improved, and the new uniform will be wrinkle-free. Reducing the number of uniforms will ease a soldier's burden from purchases and alterations.
"A wear-out date" for the Army Green Class A and White dress uniforms has yet to be determined.
