FORT MCMURRAY, Alberta — ARCO/Murray reports that it has completed a new 27,000-square-foot laundry for Civeo Corp., a global workplace accommodation specialist. The facility began operating in October and serves the oil and gas support camps here, processing bedding and other hospitality linens.
A complete turnkey design/build solution—including architecture and engineering services, permitting and construction—comprised the scope of ARCO/Murray’s work. Process utility systems throughout the building support the equipment in the plant, which currently processes 3,000-4,000 pounds of linen per hour, the company tells American Laundry News.
G.A. Braun and Image Distributors provided the equipment package, which included an E-TECH rail/sorting system and Braun washer-extractors, dryers, and finishing equipment. Also installed were pneumatic air compressors and a Thermal Engineering of Arizona process water system.
In total, the project took seven months to complete, ARCO/Murray says, with construction continuing even during the coldest winter months, when temperatures reached as low as -40 F.
