AmeriPride Services Acquires Wood City Laundry

MINNEAPOLIS — AmeriPride Services reports that it has recently acquired Cloquet, Minn.-based Wood City Laundry.

AmeriPride says it began supporting Wood City Laundry with products and services in late February after a fire, and began fully servicing the company’s customer accounts in early March out of its Hibbing, Minn., branch and Duluth, Minn., service center under the leadership of Dave Hardy, general manager.

John Sutherland, AmeriPride senior vice president of operations, explains that the acquisition is a “nice fit” for the business and its new customers.

“AmeriPride has been serving area businesses for more than 100 years, and this acquisition provides a great opportunity to expand our market share in the area while introducing new products and services to the customers,” he says.

“I am very confident in our ability to successfully support our new customers,” adds Hardy. “Our Hibbing production facility has the capacity and resources to take on the additional volume, and we are eager to incorporate the new customers into our business.”

As part of the company’s transition to AmeriPride, Wood City Laundry General Manager Gary Tyman has joined the AmeriPride team, and is looking to continue building and maintaining his customer relationships.

“The support AmeriPride provided us during our crisis helped us determine that they are the right company to take care of our customers in the future,” says Tyman. “AmeriPride is a strong, family-owned business that shares our values, and we feel confident that our customers will continue to receive great service.”
