TUSCUMBIA, Ala. — AmeriPride has acquired Valley Industrial, Decatur, Ala., the company reports. Since mid-September, the company has been servicing new customers out of its Tuscumbia branch, with Benjy Crenshaw serving as general manager.
AmeriPride says customers are being incorporated into existing service routes and that the company is “looking forward to building strong business relationships with [our] new customers.”
“We have been serving the local market in the Tuscumbia area for more than 50 years and this strategic acquisition gives us a chance to grow our business in a key market while introducing new products and services to our new customers,” says John Sutherland, senior vice president of U.S. operations for AmeriPride. “Our Tuscumbia branch has the capacity and resources to take on the additional volume, and I’m confident the operational and service leadership we have in place will facilitate a smooth transition.”
