Alliance to Shutter Ajax Division

RIPON, Wis. — Alliance Laundry Holdings, the parent company of Alliance Laundry Systems, announced today that it will soon discontinue the manufacture of Ajax pressing and finishing equipment.
Alliance announced last October that it would consolidate all operations in its Ripon headquarters and close its Marianna, Fla., facilities by the third quarter of this year; Ajax will not make the move.
"We have analyzed the cost and future benefits of relocating production of the Ajax product line," says CEO Tom L'Esperance, "and have made the difficult decision not to relocate the production of these products."
The company will, however, continue to supply parts for Ajax equipment, he adds.
Alliance's Huebsch, Speed Queen and UniMac lines are unaffected and will continue production out of the consolidated facility.
